2 & 3 Year Olds

TWO’S PROGRAM

Nurturing a love for investigation and discovery.

2-Year-Old Classes (must be two by September 1st)

2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week

Our two-year old classes are designed to allow each child plenty of opportunities to explore and be actively engaged in a rich environment filled with developmentally appropriate activities. At this stage, children need to be given the chance to make choices so as to provide each child with a sense of independence which builds their self-esteem with every success of their own. The two-year old curriculum is primarily play based with a focus on nature themes. Daily activities include music and movement, sensory experiences, circle time, art, outdoor play, early science, and pre-math activities, and of course language and literacy. Their day also includes ample time for free play where young children develop social skills such as sharing, negotiation and turn taking.

THREE’S PROGRAM

Promoting a classroom community filled with exploration and engagement.

3-Year-Old Classes (must be three by September 1st)

2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week

We believe children learn best by doing. That is why our three-year old classes utilize the MSDE approved curriculum Children Explore Their World. This project-based curriculum encourages observation, investigation, and evaluation of their environment while exploring numerous real-world topics throughout the year. Within each unit of the curriculum children have an opportunity to explore science, math, language and literacy, the arts, as well as enhancing social-emotional, critical-thinking, and motor skills. Children are also provided daily music and movement experiences as well as free play and learning center time.

Assessments of children’s progress toward developmental goals are done throughout the year. Conferences are held twice each year to review your child’s growth and to set educational and developmental goals for each child.

We also welcome all our families to become involved in their campus community through classroom visits, volunteering, and special family events.
